Community Liaison

About the Role

As a Community Liaison, you’ll be our on-the-ground ambassador, proactively reaching out to local businesses, schools, universities, public offices and community organisations to:

  • Promote Metropolis as the go-to destination for events, socials, and group bookings
  • Generate event enquiries and secure bookings for private hire, work socials, and local partnerships
  • Raise awareness of our brand and build strong connections in the community
  • Help increase footfall and make Metropolis a central hub for food, fun and culture

You’ll work closely with our events and marketing teams to ensure a seamless customer journey from first introduction to event delivery.

About You

  • Outgoing, personable, and confident in building rapport with all types of people
  • Self-motivated with a commercial mindset and drive to meet targets
  • Skilled in outreach, networking, and local relationship-building
  • Experience in hospitality, events, sales, or community marketing is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of the local area (either Vauxhall or Epsom) is a big advantage

Venue Manager

About the Role

As Venue Manager, you will be responsible for the smooth running of all aspects of Metropolis Epsom. This includes managing a diverse team, ensuring exceptional service across the bar and shared dining space, coordinating with our rotating line-up of food traders, and overseeing the operational delivery of private bookings and events.

This is a hands-on role for someone with leadership experience in hospitality and a passion for creating a vibrant, welcoming customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day management of the venue, including staffing, customer service, and operational performance
  • Work closely with food vendors to maintain consistent service quality
  • Oversee event setups, private hires, and large group bookings
  • Manage rota planning, stock control, supplier relationships, and health & safety compliance
  • Be a visible and positive presence on the floor – supporting the team and engaging with customers
  • Drive continuous improvement in customer experience, operational efficiency, and team performance

About You

  • Proven experience in a management role within hospitality, events, or F&B environments
  • A confident leader with strong people management and communication skills
  • Operationally savvy and commercially minded
  • Calm under pressure with excellent organisational abilities
  • Friendly, hands-on, and always ready to lead by example
  • Familiarity with Epsom or the local area is a bonus
